A bit about me

Violette is an experienced psychologist, with a strong background in services to military and veteran clients, families, children teens. As part of her practice she offers educational-developmental assessments for a range of conditions, as well as specific treatment for people experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural, and interpersonal difficulties including trauma. She also provides clinical supervision to psychologists and other health professionals.

 

Violette has completed a combined Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology and Doctor of Philosophy at Monash University, and is registered as an educational & developmental psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Her doctoral research focused on veteran families with PTSD and raising children. She has published in peer review journals and presented at conferences in the area of veteran families and children living with parental mental illness. 

 

Violette has a strong focus on client centred therapy, along with evidenced-based assessment and treatment. In particular Violette has a strong interest in adults, families and children living with parental mental illness, and in particular, trauma.  â€‹

Violette's clinical work experience includes roles in Defence, inpatient, and private practice settings working with veterans, children, adolescents, and adults. She has worked with people experiencing a range of neurodiverse conditions and mental health difficulties, including: PTSD, depression, anxiety, complex trauma, personality disorders, relationship difficulties, ADHD and autism.
